Bulk SMS Marketing for Restaurants

Restaurants: Bulk SMS Marketing Options

As a restaurant owner in the UK, you are well acquainted with the terrible ache you feel every time you see the following things happening all at once:

  • it’s a weekend
  • you have empty tables
  • busboys are lounging around waiting for something to do
  • servers are bickering over head-count and bemoaning the lack of customers

Busboys will lounge and servers will bicker, but there is absolutely no excuse for empty tables on a weekend. Luckily, bulk SMS marketing can help.

Bulk SMS Marketing in UK? Sounds Dangerous

Oh, it is dangerous. Dangerously effective, that is.

Like many small secrets that have the potential to completely change your business, it is fairly easy to learn. Here’s everything you need to know about mobile message marketing. Ready, set, read!

SMS – short messages of less than 160 characters

Text Marketing Campaign – work a little something like this: you create an opt-in list that customers can join and then you schedule texts that will be sent to them. You can use as many opt-in lists as you desire, but one is the minimum. You cannot just send out texts to anyone you like.

Text Marketing Companies – companies Tatango and Trumpia provide you with web-based software solutions that make the running of a text message marketing campaign easier than tossing a salad.

What’s “Bulk” have to do with SMS Marketing?

Bulk refers to the sheer number of users you can hit with a single text message. While you can certainly operate a text marketing campaign that is targeted or one that responds to input by users, bulk SMS marketing works by messaging your whole database of mobile numbers all at once.

Where to Start with Bulk SMS Marketing

You might have noticed two companies mentioned earlier – Tatango and Trumpia. Well, that’s where you start (and end) your search for a SMS marketing campaign provider.

Both of these companies operate at the very top of their industry. They each provide power, web-based applications. That means you don’t need to install anything new and you can start working with them right away.

Both employ experts in mobile marketing – especially bulk SMS marketing – and both understand the needs of restaurants because both have other restaurants as customers.

So what are you standing around like a busboy for? Head over to Trumpia (FREE TRIAL) and Tatango (FREE TRIAL) right now and don’t let those empty tables remain that way for another weekend.

Being a restaurant owner, I could totally relate to this.Is it possible text marketing companies would be able to categorize customers based on cuisines they ordered or other such related categories. That would make the marketing a lot better and useful as well.

Thanks for your comment. You have to think of sms marketing as being kind of similar to email marketing where the initial goal is to build your sms list. After you build your list of phone numbers you are able to market to your new list and obviously get to those restaurant customers of yours right on their mobile phones.

To answer your question, there really isnt unfortunately a way to categorize your sms campaign list into segments based upon what they ordered. One of the main advantages of bulk text message marketing for restaurants is the fact that you can hit so many people immediately with your message. So your going to have to keep that message a bit generic because the segmentation isnt that specific.

Good luck with your restaurant marketing goals!
